About This Place

Located in the heart of Los Angeles at 764 S Western Ave, Pollo A La Brasa is a standout destination for anyone craving authentic Peruvian rotisserie chicken. This cozy chicken restaurant offers a genuine taste of Peru with a mouthwatering selection that celebrates tradition and bold flavors, all brought to life by their signature wood-fired rotisserie cooking method.

At Pollo A La Brasa, the aroma of smoky, wood-fired chicken greets you long before you step inside, sparking anticipation that the food more than fulfills. Their famed Half Chicken and Fries delivers a masterclass in juiciness and tenderness—the skin crisply charred, with an irresistible smoky seasoning that melts into moist, flavorful meat that quite literally falls off the bone. The Pollo a La Brasa Hecho a Lena is an authentic expression of classic Peruvian technique, while options like Anticuchos and Tacos De Pollo a La Brasa bring additional layers of spice and zest, perfect for sharing or personal indulgence.

Complementing the star rotisserie chicken are a variety of traditional sides that round out the meal beautifully. The Rice and Beans are hearty and perfectly cooked, while the crisp golden Papas Fritas (French Fries) add a satisfying crunch. For a lighter touch, their fresh Salad with Beets and Ensalada Mixta provide refreshing contrasts that balance the smoky richness of the chicken. Experienced diners also rave about the Grille Rib Eye-Churrasco for something a little more indulgent, paired with their signature sides for a filling, flavorful feast.

Desserts here bring a sweet, comforting finish with traditional favorites like creamy Rice Pudding (Arroz Con Leche), delicate Alfajores, and smooth Flan. These offer a taste of Peruvian sweetness, perfectly punctuating your savory meal. Wash it all down with unique drinks such as Chicha Morada, Horchata, Jamaica, or the distinctive Inca Kola that’s bright, slightly fruity, and utterly refreshing.

The dining atmosphere at Pollo A La Brasa is casual and buzzing, with a loyal following that speaks to its reputation as the best rotisserie chicken spot in LA. While the venue itself is small and the wait times can stretch during peak hours, this only adds to the anticipation and community vibe. Many patrons recommend opting for takeout to bypass the wait, allowing you to enjoy the rich, smoky flavors from the comfort of your own home. Parking can be a challenge but is manageable with some patience for local street spots.

Customer feedback paints a vivid picture of the experience: Nat Zhenko praises the “insane” juicy and smoky rotisserie chicken that’s worth driving ten miles for; Adrianna McKinley notes the irresistible smoky smell emanating down the block and the superb tenderness of the chicken; Jenna Park calls it “the best rotisserie chicken in LA,” raving about the thin, crispy skin and juicy meat; Maya Ravel highlights the fresh salads and divine fries that complement the main courses; and Matty Lee emphasizes the perfectly balanced seasoning and succulence despite the small venue and wait times.

If you’re a fan of authentic Peruvian cuisine or simply want to elevate your palate with some of the most flavorful rotisserie chicken in Los Angeles, Pollo A La Brasa is a culinary gem worth discovering. It’s a place where tradition meets passion, providing a smoky, juicy, and utterly satisfying chicken experience that lingers happily in your memory long after the final bite.

Just had this for the first time today and OMG, totally worth the 10-mile drive! The rotisserie wood-fired chicken is straight-up insane—so juicy, smoky, and flavorful. I’m a huge Peruvian food fan, and if you’re looking to treat your taste buds to something authentic and delicious (ethnicize your palate? lol, I’m keeping that word), you have to try this place. The half-chicken meal comes with this fresh, vibrant salad—beets, avocado, cabbage, all perfectly balanced—and the rice? It’s slow-cooked in chicken broth with peas and corn, and every bite is pure comfort. I’m already planning my next trip back. Run, don’t walk!

You can smell the delicious all the way down the block! The chicken had a smokey flavor and was super tender. This place is busy so be prepared to wait a little while.

The best rotisserie chicken in LA for sure. We did dine in and had the chicken that just got out of the wood-fire was super juicy and tender. The skin is thin and crispy and the meat automatically falls off of the bones. Everything is super delicious. It is 100% worth driving all the way from Santa Monica. Will revisit again!!!

Delicious and fresh. Diverse salad. Best fries around. You’ll leave smelling a bit smoky but the wait is well worth the happy tummy.

Amazing, succulent rotisserie chicken. The aroma, the seasoning, all of it comes together beautifully. The sides are alright, but the main focus is the chicken. The venue is small, and wait times can be long depending on time of day. So I’d recommend doing take out and asking for the potential wait time. Parking is almost non-existent, so look for local street parking nearby. Would recommend for great take out rotisserie chicken!

You know a place is killer when the parking is shit and people still go through the hassle to pack the place. Fortunate to get in at just the right time and wait only 30 mins for our chix. The rotisserie had the perfect char and was well seasoned. Fresh-cut fries tasty and salad a nice side to end the meal.

I ordered chicken with fries and salad. The flavor of the chicken was great. It was well seasoned and well cooked. The salad was some broccoli, beets, tomatoes and lettuce. The salad was OK, nothing great, nothing bad. The fries were also average. The green sauce was spicy and delicious. The environment is adequate and the benches get the job done. The service speed is good.
